About Us

Since forming the running club in 1986, Eye Community Runners have produced some of the finest runners that you will see running the streets and cross country events around Cambridgeshire and beyond.

During the year, Eye Community Runners host:
Eye 5k
Eye 5 mile
Eye 10k

Along with organising these events, our runners take part in various leagues such as Frostbite Friendly and Royston Runners Cross Country series during the winter and Cambs Road Race during the summer. Some of our runners have also been known to take part in events spanning far wider than just the English shores, taking part in events held in the USA, Malta, France, Belgium, Berlin, to name a few…

If you would like to join us for a run, our adults (16 years and older) meet each Tuesday and Thursday and our Juniors (15 years and younger) meet each Friday:

Tuesdays – Riverside Pavilion, Candy Street (Sugar Way), Peterborough: 7pm
Thursdays – Lindisfarne Recreation Ground, Eye: 7pm
Thursdays (Juniors) – Lindisfarne Recreation Ground, Eye: 5:45pm to 6:45pm

GDPR Statement

We will keep your information as provided on your application form on the club’s central database. Your information will be used for club purposes only such as publication of weekly email update, race results and club championships. Access to your information is limited to those committee members that require access to fulfil their duties. 

Your information will not be disclosed to any 3rd parties except where required to be provided to team captains/managers and race organisers for event entry. We may on occasions share anonymised data for the purposes of securing grant funding or monitor club trends. 

Your information, except that required to maintain the club’s race history (name and membership number) will be deleted 1 year after resignation from the club. 

We will update your information should you inform us of any changes required. 

The club has the following social media pages; Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. All members are free to join these pages. If you join one of the social media pages, please note that provider of the social media platform(s) have their own privacy policies and that the club do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data on the club social media pages. 

Should you also decide to register with England Athletics (EA) either at the time of joining the club or at a later date then we will share your information with EA. EA will use your information to provide you with access to your MyAthletics portal to enable you to set and amend your privacy settings in respect of EA.
