With an out and back road route on the run sections across a disused WW2 Airfield and a one lap route for the cycle through the sleepy villages of Little Downham and Coveney. All with windy Fenland conditions to keep them on their toes! Supern running and cycling all round!

Chester Ultra Marathon (50 miles)

Results – Chester Ultra Marathon (50 miles), 11/3/18 – Sam Cullen 9:26 (2nd lady) Lee Whitton 9:26 (joint 18th place with Sam!)
Following 50 miles of trails along the River Dee into Chester, around the racecourse and along the Sandstone Trail, taking in Frodsham, Alvanley Cliff and Delamere Forest, super #teameye runners Sam and Lee (after a 6am start!) battled with mud, steep hills, mud, steps, kissing gates and more mud! Photographic evidence shows them smiling all the way round too! A fantastic achievement.
Well done!
(The race organisers were pleased that the number of entries was up on last year and also published this statistic – “the quantity of glorious mud up by 9,448,374% (approx.)”!!)

A great turnout for ECR at the Cambridge half marathon last Sunday. Fortunately the wintry weather conditions eased off sufficiently for 22 #teameye runners to take part in the one lap course, starting at (the inaptly named!) Midsummer Common, and following a route around Cambridge city centre and through Trumpington and Grantchester. Superb running and wonderful support out on the course saw our runners come in with fantastic finish times!
Well done all!
